Over 200 delegates descended on Whistler, BC, this August at the 61st annual TIAC Conference for four days of fun, frolic, and foundational learning that will certainly enlighten the coming year in business.
Keynote speakers covered performance, business acumen, gender diversity, and disruption and innovation in the construction industry. In fact, technology and its role in business was an overarching theme at this event, and several speakers tabled issues the entire industry will have to face—and in many cases benefit from—moving forward. TIAC’s partners from National Insulation Association shared a number of initiatives and updates about the American mechanical insulation industry, and manufacturer, distributor, and contractor breakout sessions were productive and helpful.
Of course, golf was a fabulous afternoon of great weather and jaw-dropping scenery, especially supplemented by the great chats and boundless energy Lisa “Longball” Vlooswyk brought to the 16th hole. Congratulations to Louis Walton for his glorious hole in one!
As always, the social events were top notch, with spouses and guests enjoying many of Whistler’s highlights, and the free evening brought groups together for lively dinners and activities at some of Whistler’s more reknowned dining locations.
The TIAC Conference could not come together without the invaluable help of the board, the 2023 Conference Chair, Chris Ishkanian, and Robin Baldwin’s unstoppable drive and expertise from the TIAC office. Thank you for the time and energy you put into bringing the TIAC Family together in world-class locations with incredible amenities, food, and activities, year after year.
