After years of requests for a product that installs in colder weather, Polyguard Products Inc. created the hybrid Alumaguard® LT Cladding System.

Alumaguard LT is a “hybrid” cladding product for outdoor installations on duct and piping systems. It was conceived as a premium product to Alumaguard® combining the attributes of a self healing membrane with the all weather installation of acrylic adhesives. Alumaguard LT can be used on the entire duct, including the bottom!

Alumaguard LT is great for chilled water piping, process piping, exterior duct work; just about any system which needs to be protected from water intrusion. It is available in Smooth and stucco embossed natural aluminum. It is available in standard sizes, 3” and 36” widths x 75’ lengths (23” wide is a special order size).

In addition to this premium hybrid version, Polyguard Products Inc. has introduced its Alumaguard® Lite Cladding Product. Alumaguard Lite is 25/50 rated, zero perm, with a low temperature acrylic adhesive fastening system. Originally designed for the bottom of ductwork to alleviate sagging of the heavier rubberized asphalt based product, Alumaguard Lite can be used on the entire duct or piping system.

Alumaguard® Lite is great for chilled water piping, exterior duct work, Interior Duct work, mechanical rooms, indoor piping systems, process piping, and plenum areas. It is available in smooth aluminu

m, stucco embossed aluminum, and smooth SuperWhite (aluminum inside). It is available with adhesive in standard sizes, 3” and 36” widths x 150’ lengths (23” wide is a special order size); it is also available to fabricators in 23” and 36” x 500’ and 1000’ without adhesive for factory applied uses.

Alumaguard® is a premier vapor barrier, weather barrier, and UV barrier in an easy to install 'peel n stick' roll membrane. It is rubberized bitumen, a foil faced membrane designed specifically to stick to insulation facings such as FSK, smooth foil, and ASJ. It has an excellent perm rating, very good puncture resistance, excellent sound attenuation properties (STC 18), superior bond strength, and like all our membranes, Alumaguard heals itself if punctured.
