It is with regret we announce the passing of Mike Kucheran on January 15, 2009. Mike had a long career in the insulation industry in Western Canada where he started as a salesman for Crossroad Industries in Edmonton, Alberta in the 1960s. Mike became a minority shareholder of Crossroads and in 1970 moved to Vancouver to open a new branch for the company. Mike ran that branch until 1985 when he decided to become a partner in a new insulation distribution company in B.C., Pactherm Distributors. Mike was an active partner of Pactherm until the company was sold in 1994, shortly after which Mike retired and moved back to St. Albert, Alberta so he and his wife Olga could be closer to their grandchildren. Those that knew Mike will remember a person of honesty, integrity, and a mischievous sense of humour. He was a kind and giving person and will be missed by his family and friends. Predeceased by his wife Olga in January of 2008, Mike is survived by three adult children and three grandchildren. 
