Pol R is excited to announce that the team is growing again! The company has acquired the assets of Shur-Fit Products Ltd. and will add this respected local team and brand name to Pol R’s premier Canadian-owned distribution and fabrication business, dedicated to commercial and industrial insulation and specialty construction products.
Pol R has expanded its Vancouver, BC, facility to welcome the Shur-Fit employees. Glen Copeland, Rob Beveridge and Luke Fraser have been involved in mechanical insulation for a combined 80 years and now look forward to serving their customers with an expanded product offering with the Nu-West Construction Products team. They joined the Nu-West team in January, 2023, at the recently acquired location—2960 Lake City Way, Burnaby BC, V5A 3A2.
Common values and commitment to exceptional customer service have brought these teams together. The addition of new fabrication capabilities and an expanded lineup of products, including XPS, Polyiso, Pro Pipe Supports, and elastomeric Keen fittings will position Nu-West/Shur-Fit to be a “one stop shop” that is able to fulfil all commercial and industrial mechanical insulation customer needs.
The aluminum grooved, humpback, small diameter, end caps, and tee fittings, along with cut and rolled jacketing, Superior shields, and any metal fabrication business will transfer to Pacific Pressed Fittings Ltd. This business will remain with Jeff Webb, and products will be manufactured at the new facility in Abbotsford, BC. Jeff Webb has no continuing ownership and or management interest in Shur-Fit Products.
Pol R has no ownership or management interest in Pacific Pressed.
Nu-West/Shur-Fit will continue to have access to the complete Pacific Pressed product line and will be carrying local stock for any day-to-day contractor business. Pacific Pressed products will also be available through all other Nu-West, Impro, Nadeau, and Scotia Insulation locations throughout Canada.
The newly expanded Nu-West/Shur-Fit team looks forward to continuing the long legacy of quality innovative solutions Shur-Fit has always provided.
