The Thermal Insulation Association of Canada (TIAC) is committed to the well-being of our community and recognizes its responsibility to protect the safety, health and well-being of our Conference delegates, partners, staff and operational personnel.
Over the past weeks, and amid the uncertainties regarding COVID-19 and changing travel policies, TIAC has received inquiries regarding our upcoming Conference. The TIAC Board of Directors has discussed the situation and released this update for our event registrants and other stakeholders.
We hope that the coming weeks/months will see a reduction in the spread of COVID-19 cases and a return to business as usual. Until then, TIAC has begun making contingency plans to protect our professional community while remaining positioned to normalize operations as soon as circumstances permit. As such, the 2020 Conference, scheduled for August in Whitehorse, has been cancelled.
We value the time and effort contributed to our Conference by the dedicated volunteer Chairs and extend our heartfelt thanks to Andre and Judy Pachon.
We recognize that these are uncertain times and it is important to follow the instructions of local authorities and Canadian health professionals. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as necessary.
Thank you for your continued support!
